Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to have your breaths taken away. This is serious -- please rise, keep your eyes wide open, silence all cell-phones and provide your undivided attention at this time to the brand which is Lamborghini and this unbelievably flawless model known as the Reventon Roadster. We almost feel like corrupt citizens for letting this monster get away with dangerously speeding right in front of our very eyes before we realize that it isn't actually moving. This supercar is such a rare breed that only fifteen will be sold. Fifteen--of which twelve have already been purchased at the bargain tag price of 1.6 million dollars, which comes with a required deposit of about $300,000 before sale. The Reventon is modeled after the F-22 Raptor fighter jet and it certainly succeeds in its design and detailing, which is so curvacious your eyes get lost in a daze of confusion. With 650 horsepower, a maximum speed of 205 miles per hour and plenty of leeway to wreak havoc on hapless competitors, the Reventon truly does run away without looking back. Luckily for visitors of the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Reventon was in a good mood, allowing them to come close and admire its excellence with pictures.
The Mercedes Benz collection of automobiles are a symbol of class, luxury, prestige, wealth, and status no matter which country you are in. From the most basic models to...well, something that looks like this, a Benz is revered and respected, plain and simple. With each of their cars boasting a generous combination of power and comfort, why should this beast be any different? This is the SLS AMG, priced at about $250,000 and has 563 horsepower and a maximum speed of 197 miles per hour. Gills (those indented silver lines you see on the hood and side of the car) and gullwing doors stamp their mark on this supercar, which is not a concept. We will actually be able to see these on the road and soon, too. The SLS AMG is expected to be in demand despite its high price tag. In years to come, we can expect an all electric version to this car with just as much precision and excellence as we're used to. This is the all dependable beast, which promises to never disappoint.Picture source: foxnews.com
Yes, this is a car. No, you do not need to rub your eyes to do a double-take--yes, you really do see what you're seeing. Yes, I would rather walk in sub-zero temperatures to get to where I need to be than to get in this thing. Okay maybe I wouldn't go that far--but I would be very hard pressed to find someone sitting there and admiring the beauty and structure of this robotic looking thing-a-ma-jig. Introducing the Renault Twizy, the 20 (yes, 20) horsepower automobile with the ride of a scooter and comfortable seating for two. It will available only in Europe and will be released officially in 2011. It too, will be electric, as is the trend being seen much more frequently now. I think the Twizy is a cute little concoction but hardly what you would want to pick up your date with. Perhaps this design could ring in the new wave of lawn mowers with passenger seating?
They are known as "ultimate driving machines," and those are the ones we actually see on the road. Imagine seeing this freak-of-nature driving merrily down a Hempstead Turnpike or through a college campus. Now that would be a sight to cherish. This is a BMW concept car of extraordinary proportions, not only for how mean and sleek the body look but also for how above and beyond the ride would actually be. This Vision EfficientDynamics Concept boasts a more environment friendly carbon dioxide emitter than even today's most fuel efficient and "green" car, the Toyota Prius. This car is starting to sound like the perfect supercar isn't it? With its attractive exterior and superior well manneredness (environment-friendly, in this case) it is quite the type you could bring home to meet mom and dad without any worries. Performance-wise, it can reach a modest top speed of 155 miles per hour and boasts a 356 horsepower, which in my opinion are numbers far beneath what it looks like it can accomplish. But the fact that just one glance at it can make us doubt those numbers makes it a winner in my book already. Keep up the good work, Beamer creators.
This little buggie will not get you the positive looks you might want when you're on the road among futuristic beasts and innovative machines in the next generation of cars; heck, it might even draw some laughter from fellow automobile drivers. It will, however, do one thing at least: it will almost surely make you best friends with the environment. Although the Trabant nT is merely a concept car for now (a car not slated for an official release but in the works to stir imaginations alluding to which way a brand is thinking along the lines of), it is most certainly a car aimed at doing good. It will be equipped with an electric motor geared toward helping global warming and will run on lithium ion batteries which will get you 156 miles of drive on a single charge. This is a huge step up from the Trabant nT's predecessor, the 2-stroke Trabant, which was our modern day chain smoker. Amidst all the talk lately of electric cars, this German concept fits perfectly in that mold is certainly aimed at helping pollution. Can you imagine actually plugging your car in to charge it overnight like you would a cell phone? Pretty cool if you ask me--even if this buggie isn't exactly the "sight to behold."
